Scania is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy duty trucks, buses and industrial and marine engines. The services have a growing participation in the company’s business, assuring to the customers transport solutions economical and with high operational availability. In 2016, Scania completes 125 years of foundation and aims to be a leader in sustainable transport solutions. With 44,400 employees, the company is present in more than 100 countries, with production lines in Europe, Asia and Latin America and with the possibility of global exchange of components and complete vehicles. In 2015, Scania’s net revenue reached 94.89 billion Swedish krona and net income for the year after tax deduction was SEK 6.7 billion.

The company’s trajectory, now a world reference in sustainable transport solutions, began in 1891, when, under the name of VABIS, it produced wagons, wagons and trams drawn by horse. Since then, Scania has followed the transformations of the world, working to position the brand globally and being recognized as a synonym for quality and robustness, paving the way for the success of the brand’s trucks, flagship cars in the product line, the title of King of the Road.
Even in the first decades of existence, seeking to consolidate itself in a scenario where competition was already strong among the automakers from countries such as the United States and Germany, the company stood out in the development and production of engines for heavy vehicles, which had a low consumption of fuel. With the post-war period, demands for heavy trucks for freight increased, and the Scania-Vabis L51 model was the reason for the truck’s first major jump in the European market.

The popularization of the brand, which occurred in the middle of the last century, increased orders and came the second great moment in the company’s history. The industrialization process in some emerging economies led Scania to cross the Atlantic to open its first plant outside Sweden in 1962 in the city of São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo.

“We have been working with TEX since 2008 and we have as a priority to guarantee quality in every part of the process, making the characteristics of certain products sine qua non the use of sealing equipment. The new TEX equipment breaks down some interface barriers with existing equipment as well as new generations of programmable logic controllers. In this way, communication and traceability become more flexible. The diagnosis is one of the pillars for the understanding of the problems and apparently the equipment has been upgraded in this respect. “
