Developed to perform leakage measurements on manufactured flexible packages, using the principle of reading the vacuum pressure variation inside the test piece, this equipment is suitable for companies that need to ensure the quality of 100% of their produced pieces, being installed directly on the production line.

Operation: it depressurizes, stabilizes, and monitors the internal pressure in the flexible chamber external to the test piece for a certain period. This variation is then compared to the adjusted parameters, and the equipment automatically approves or disapproves the piece, signaling the test result on the graphical interface and digital outputs.

With an innovative pneumatic circuit, entirely developed and manufactured in Brazil, it offers robustness and ease of maintenance, with valves specifically designed to ensure the perfect sealing of the test circuit.

The entire equipment is controlled by a microprocessed board, also developed and manufactured in Brazil, with precision sensors, an intuitive user interface, storage of test results, and connection with PLCs and computers through serial network interfaces or digital input and output connections.

Access to equipment data and parameters can be controlled by RFID card, USB drive, or password, depending on the optional features purchased by the customer. It has versions with manual or automatic pressure adjustment, covering vacuum to 30 bar pressures.

Specific features of the model:

It uses an absolute pressure sensor to measure the vacuum exerted on the variable geometry chamber that contains the test piece, and calculates mathematically the pressure difference between the beginning and end of the measurement time to make a decision regarding acceptable limits for this difference.

The larger the pressure difference, the greater the leakage in the piece.

  • Vacuum chamber with aluminum structure and silicone membrane;

  • Pressure range: -80 kPa;

  • Measurement resolution up to 1 Pa;

  • Measurement uncertainty of 0.25% of full scale;

  • Measurement units: ccm, mL/min, mL/h, Pa, Pa/s, mbar, mbar/s, psi, psi/s, microns, mbarL/s;

  • Pressure units: Pa, kPa, MPa, hPa, bar, mbar, psi, mmH2O, mmHg, kgf/cm2, or user-programmable unit;

  • Minimum test time: 30 secs.

Benefits

  • Non-destructive testing: FDA approved and indicated in USP 1207, performing ASTM F2338 tests;

  • Can adapt to any packaging geometry;

  • Completely dry testing;

  • Traceability system in compliance with FDA CFR21 Part11 (electronic records);

  • Detects microholes from 10 microns onwards;

  • Suitable for laboratory and 100% production testing/automatic;

  • Performs tests on packages with Headspace/MAP, flexible, semi-rigid, and rigid.
